Joan T. Beer

Joan Beer received a B.S. in Education and from Tufts University, Medford, MA. She taught elementary grades in New York and Westport, Ct. schools and was active in the Westport PTA.
Joan worked in Human Resources at PepsiCo, Inc.'s corporate headquarters in Purchase, New York and was Human Resources Coordinator for Xerox Corporation Branch office in White Plains, New York. Combining her teaching experience with corporate experience, Joan joined Scholastic Magazines selling corporate-sponsored educational programs to major corporations, associations and foundations for distribution to schools across the country.
Joan attends health seminars provided by the World Information Transfer Organization at the United Nations, an affiliate of the World Health Organization. In her present position at Healthy-Start, Joan is Vice President of Sales and Marketing and is an enthusiastic advocate of providing a "healthy start" for young children.
