Don't Talk to Strangers



Safe and Sound Activity 8

Teach the last part of the following song which is the rhyme the children already know (We say "NO!" then we go, find a grownup who we know, bum, bum, bum.)

Sing the verse and have the children join in when they get to the we say "NO!" part.



  (To the tune of The Three Blind Mice)



  Playing in the park.

  Playing in the park.

  A stranger stops to talk.

  A stranger stops to talk.

  We say "NO!"

  and then we go,

  find a grownup who we know.

  Never talk to strangers!

  Playing in the park.

Add other verses that include places the children go. For example: Outside by ourselves, Walking home from school, Walking with a friend, etc...
