My Sun-sational Skin Unit
My Sun-sational Skin Unit will focus on developing an awareness of the skin, how and why to protect it. This unit will focus on the importance of protecting the skin from harmful sun exposure. Children will learn ways in which they can act to guard themselves from excessive sun exposure and ways to seek help from others.
Goals and Objectives
Children will be able to identify the skin as a part of the body.
Children will be able to identify sun exposure as a potential health risk to the skin.
Children will be able to demonstrate ways to protect the skin from excessive sun exposure including using sunscreen, using a hat, and seeking shade.
Children will be able to identify adults responsible for assisting in the proper use of sunscreen.
